Peter Conrad has performed at small & large venues, outdoor festivals and special events in the US, Canada, the UK & Scotland and had a very successful solo career from 2015-2020 in Central Ohio. In Jan. of 2021, Peter announced his retirement from live performing, due to Covid concerns and is now concentrating on writing & recording new material in his own "Safe & Sound" Home Recording Studio in beautiful downtown Wilbury, OH!
2022 --> Peter is currently working on a new collection of 14 songs, to be released thru CD Baby in 2022. The 2 opening tracks will feature Joel Guild on lead guitar & vocals, while the last 2 songs will feature Michael 'Flash' Foster on lead guitar & John Gish on drums, from an unfinished recording session from 2005! Both Flash & John have been bandmates, on & off, with Peter for over 50 years!
2021 --> Peter & Joel Guild released "Down At The Dolphin Lounge" was released as a CD Baby single. Joel was Peter's bandmate & producer for the last 25 years. This was the last song they wrote & recorded together and sadly, 'Jimi Cash Money' (aka: Joel) passed away on 12/18/21.
2020 --> Peter's last solo CD “Mystical Moon”, was released worldwide in April 2020 thru CD Baby, and contains 8 original Beatle-esque songs, and 3 Fab covers, including the Beatles “Old Brown Shoe” (done w/ more of a Wilbury feel to it), Donovan’s “Hurdy Gurdy Man” w/ the unused 1968 George Harrison lyrics and “Walk Out In The Rain”, a song written by Joey Molland of Badfinger fame, that Joe taught Peter how to play one night and then suggested that he cover it on his next record!
Officially endorsed by Gretsch Guitars since 2017!
Since 1999, he has released 8 solo CD’s and has performed as a guest musician on 6 CD’s by local Ohio musicians. He is also featured on the four “Central Ohio Musicians perform the Music of” CD series, covering songs from 1966-1969 and in 2016, his original music was featured in the world-wide DVD release of the documentary, “A Beatle In Benton”.
In 2002, Peter was invited by promoter, Gary Jacob to perform his original song “Goodbye George” at the 1st official Abbey Road On The River in Cleveland, OH. The song debuted at AROTR with George’s sister & special guest of honor, Louise Harrison, watching off stage in the wings. For this performance, Peter was backed up by the Canadian band ‘All You Need Is Love’ – beginning a friendship that has lasted to today! Peter is one of the very few musicians who has performed at every AROTR since, and will be again in 2022!
